The Institute for Global Spirituality was founded to serve the education and healing of humanity -- individuals, families, communities, nations and the comity of nations. Further, the Institute promotes loving understanding of, and the establishing of right relations with, the rest of the natural world. The Institute for Global Spirituality is universal in the educational sense, non-sectarian in the religious sense and non-partisan in the political sense. We honor diversity of perspectives and multiple ways of knowing. The Institute for Global Spirituality has been incorporated as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit educational corporation in the State of Delaware -- the first state to join the union of the United States of America -- and has tax-exempt status. The Institute for Global Spirituality's unfolding program is being financed, in part, by tuition fees received from our workshops and seminars. However, generous financial support from those who recognize the importance of our work is essential to our material survival.
The Institute for Global Spirituality's motto, "the will-to-create that which expresses the will-to-good", provides focus and direction to our endeavor to assist intelligent, caring human beings to become increasingly responsible planetary citizens, whose daily living is in alignment with Divine Purpose and contributes to the working out of the Divine Plan for humanity and all planetary lives.
Our Educational Program At one time or another we have probably all heard the phrases, coming down to us from the Mystery Schools of Antiquity: Man, know thyself; There is no religion higher than the Truth. Self-knowledge is the basis for self-healing and spiritual transformation. When you do not know the first thing about who you truly are, about your purpose and your destiny, you do not know how to begin to go about educating and healing yourself in a way productive of far-reaching, lasting results. When
you successfully educate and heal yourself, and become a more loving and
light-filled being, you are in a position to more effectively help others
to achieve important positive changes in their inner and outer
lives. Those who pursue self-knowledge with sincerity are able to acquire true knowledge of the greater Reality in which we live and move and have our being. They develop the awareness, arising from awakened inner senses, that allows them to explore and experience causal levels of life and consciousness. These source levels give rise to everything we experience in the time and space of the physical plane, and it is from these levels that we can effect the most profound and lasting changes in ourselves and our environment.
All religions and spiritual traditions recognize the value of prayer and meditation in linking the human being up with higher aspects of his or her whole self, and with the greater Life in Whom we live and move and have our being.
